Amit Mishra is a Chartered Accountant by profession and an ardent wildlife photographer by choice. His fondness for wildlife and animals has been since childhood, maybe triggered by the fact that his father was a veterinary doctor in the Indian Army. He is a self-taught photographer. He has co-authored a book titled “Birds of Raj Bhawan-Uttar Pradesh” and has also contributed to two coffee table books – Birds of Uttar Pradesh and Dudhwa Tiger Reserves. He has been a part of studies on birds by various institutions and has contributed in his small ways by conducting or being part of workshops and lectures on conservation of wildlife, especially of birds. He has also had the privilege of being a guest facility at the Institute of Wildlife Sciences, University of Lucknow, where he shared his understanding of wildlife photography.
